FOUR CYCLISTS INJURED
Two In One Accident
Four cyclists were injured in three accidents within four hours in Christchurch yesterday. M. Harris, aged 14, of 69 Birdwood avenue, suffered head injuries and concussion when his bicycle and a car collided in Centaurus road, near the sanatorium, about 4.30 p.m. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition last evening was reported as satisfactory.
Ronald Green, aged 11, of 32 Guildford street, and Robert Peachey, aged eight, of 24 Guildford street, were injured in a fall from a bicycle while going down Dyers Pass road about 3.30 p.m. Ronald Green suffered concussion and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. His condition last night was satisfactory. Robert Peachey suffered a bump on the head and abrasions, and was allowed to go home after treatment at the hospital.
One of the boys is believed to have caught his foot in the spokes of the front wheel of the bicycle. Another cyclist. Mr W. A. Gillanders. of 50 Hastings street, suffered head and other injuries in a collision with a car at the corner of Victoria street and Bealey avenue about 7 p.m. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. His condition is reported as fairly satisfactory.
