Waimairi Street Lighting
The Municipal Electricity Department is to be asked by the Waimairi County Council to proceed immediately with improved street lighting throughout the county
All original lamps in the district will be replaced with 125 watt mercury vapour colour-corrected lamps in enclosed type lanterns.
The council decided at its monthly meeting last evening to improve the lighting after considering a report by the finance committee which was attended by Mr W. G Johnstone, the M.E.D.’s senior engineer.
