Flower Prize For Axeman
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 17. A team of New Zealand axemen who set out for the Sydney Royal Easter Show with their eyes on a wood-choppin; trophy are home again —with a flower-show prize. The team manager, Mr B. J. Samuels, won a first prize in the Royal Horticultural Society's rose competition. When the team arrived in Wellington today Mr Samuels said they had missed the coveted Hallstrom Cup for woodchopping by no more than a few axe strokes.
