Explosives Theft
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 16,
Auckland police are investigating the theft of gelignite, detonators and fuses from a scoria quarry in Otahuhu some time after April 11. Thieves broke into two concrete magazines specially constructed to hold explosives, taking 100 sticks of gelignite, 1000 percussion detonators, 300 electrical detonators, and three rolls of fuse.
