Final Matches Abandoned (NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 16. Otago had a clear victory in the New Zealand Universities Easter sports tournament, which ended today. Cricket and tennis matches scheduled for today were abandoned because of rain, and the tournament points in these sections were awarded on the basis of results so far The events could not have affected Otago's success. Final points were: Otago 48, Victoria 33. Canterbury 28, Auckland 28, Massey 2, Lincoln 0. Canterbury and Auckland tied for first place in the cricket competition. The teams were equal, with 16 points yesterday and each was awarded six points for today’s abandoned games Wellington was third with 13 points
