According to the Associated Press. Pope John first gavf his Easter greetings in Italian. and then in French English Other language;' he used were Spanish. Portu guese. German. Dutch Polish. Greek, Russian Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Serbian. Arabic. Albanian. Bohemian. Croatian. Slovene Slovak. Hungarian, Rumanian. Ethiopian, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Flemish. Slavonic and—last of all—Latin.
