Burnt Out
One rider at Cast, B. Scobie (Te Awamatu), had more than the New Zealand Motor-cycling Grand Prix to worry about. While in Christchurch on Saturday preparing for the racing he was notified that the building which housed his motor-cycle shop in Rotorua had been burned out. Winning the Junior Grand Prix and then taking second place in the senior Grand Prix must have seemed a poor consolation.
