(NX. Press Association) MVERCARGILL. April 15. The new Ohan Hotel, Halfmoon Bay, had a beer drought at the week-end. But wines and spirits were available. When the beer ran out on Saturday afternoon, hotel guests and the islanders decided they would replenish the supply. On Sunday, a fishing boat *e< out from the bay with a maximum crew and two 54 gallon kegs. However, their journey war doomed to failure. The law says liquor cannot be sold on public holidays and outside licensed hours. A sympathetic police constable at Bluff broke the new* to the little band, who sadly turned their boat back to the island.
