Rakaia Plunket Society.— An address on work in the Flying Medical Service in Australia was given by Dr. J. Mid-Canterbury W.D.F.F.— The Mid-Canterbury section of the Women’s Division of toe Federated Farmers had a membership of 635 in 17 branches, said the retiring president of the provincial executive (Mirs R Thomas) in her report art the annual meeting recently. She said that between 200 and 300 members from all parts of Canterbury attended the inter-provincial conference held in Ashburton during February. Mrs Thomas said that branches organised district collections for Corso, the Freedom from Hunger campaign, the Blind Institute, and adso made a donation to the Leper Fund. A street collection was held for the Maori Education Foundation. West Melton WJIJ’J’r-To celebrate its twenty-fifth birthday, the West Melton branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers entertained the children and staff of the Cerebral Palsy School at a lunch, took them to a film, and later to afternoon tea. Cup winners for the year were; Northcroft Cup, Miss Lois Pascoe; Stewart Cup, Mrs R. H. Quinton: Ashwell Cup, Mrs N. K. Calder. Officers elected were: president, Mrs A. W. Langdale, J. D. Henderson. Winchmore W.D.F.F.— An address on the objects of the Community Chest was given by Mrs M, C. Milne at the annual meeting of the Winchmore W.D.F.F. Officers elected were: President, Mrs J. G. Letham; secretary, Mrs C. C. Prebble; treasurer, Mrs G. H. Reesby; vice-presidents, Mesdames H. Nish, R. Lobb.
