Windscreen Shattered
Transport Department officers are seeking a person who threw an empty beer bottle from a car near Marton into the windscreen of an oncoming car. The chief traffic officer in Palmerston North (Mr C. J. Robinson) said some quick thinking by the driver of the oncoming car avoided a serious accident. The bottle struck the windscreen with considerable force and completely shattered it. A description and a few details of the car concerned have been supplied to the departmen;.— (P.A.)
