GYROCOPTER CRASHES
Demonstrator Killed (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 14 A young man was kill-d this 'morning while demonstrating a Benson gyrocopter at Paraparaumu airport Hr was: Trevor Vernon Laugeson, aged 31, a mechanic, married. of 15 Harworth street. Wanganui. The accident occurred at 11.10 a.m. when the machine plunged 80 feet to the ground at the northern end of the airport. The engine apparently failed. Mr Laugeson demonstrated the aircraft yesterday without incident. The weather was fine when today's accident occurred. A Civil Aviation Administration spokesman said tonight that an inquiry into the accident would follow investigations by the department’s chief inspector of accidents.
