After 4U years, the Chris*ehurch branch of the Association of Radio Transmitters has its own club-house. It is the old St. Francis schoolroom in Galbraith avenue. Avonside. The branch has renovated the building and will bold the official opening next Saturday The club-house will be the new een-re for the branch’s transmitter used for emergency search and rescue work At present the emergency

t:ansmitter is at the central police station, but the high noise level in the eity presenta some difficulties When the transmitter is at the new club-house, there will be a radio link with the police station

There will also be a workshop for radio maintenance and a meeting room, which will be used for the weekly ciasses attended by 50 btudsota of all ages.
