Nelson Pairs Challenge
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 14. In spite of a magnificent finishing burst by the Nelson crew of B. Grossi and H. Sim. who gained two seconds and a first in the last three races, the Aucklanders. R. Botterii) and W. Dillon, won the eighth national Cherub class yachting contest at Kohimaramara over the week-end.
Grossie and Sim, sailing Proteus, scored 5888 points for the best four performances, while Botterill and Dillon, in Even Stevens, totalled 5820. Botterill had two firsts, a fifth, a seventh equal and a ninth, while Grossie had a first, two seconds, a tenth and an eleventh. Results were:— Second Race.—Troglodyte (R.
