Bus Falls Off Bridge
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuttr —Copyripht) NAIROBI. April 8. Forty-seven Africans were drowned when their bus plunged off a bridge 60 miles east of Nairobi last night. The victims were 31 women, nine men and seven children—all members of a religious sect on their way to a ceremony. The bus plunged into an Bft deep pool and rolled to its left side, blocking escape through the door, but the drive rand nine passengers escaped as the bus hurtled through the air.
Adult Nile crocodiles carry stones in their stomachs as ballast, a zoologist has found.
