w TOKYO. April 9 The Nippon Electric Company. a leading Japanese telecommunication equipment manufacturing firm. said today it had signed contracts with the Governments of New Zealand. Malaya and Australia, for the exports of broadcasting equipment worth 150 million yen. The company said the contract with the New Zealand Government involved a set of carrier programme channelling equipment for radio and television broadcasting worth 40 million yen (about £40,000).
