Stayers’ Event At Caulfield (N.Z. Press Astm—CopyripMl MELBOURNE, April 5. The New Zealand stayer, Conference, improving with every start here, is hottest favourite in the eight races at Caulfield tomorrow. Conference, which will be ridden by the New Zealand jockey, L. G. Coles, is less than half each-way odds in the two-mile St. Kilda Handicap. He is nearly three points shorter than second favourite Carolina with Barbatook the only other acceptor under a double-figure quote. The New Zealand-bred stayers, Rural Loch and Havelock, are at each-way odds in the Narong Handicap in which many horses have chances. Mamburdi and Beau Coquet are next in favour with Rio David and Meadow Earl only a point longer.
