With him, in front of a radiosonde receiver for obtaining temperature, pressure, and humidity from an airborne transmitter, are, from left, the officer in charge of the college (Mr J. Irvine), the Director of Civil Aviation (Sir Arthur Nevill), and an instructor at the meteorological school (Mr N. D. White).
