FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone moving northeastwards is centred to the east of the South Island and covers most of the country. A trough of low pressure is stationary over northern areas of New Zealand. Forecast:— Canterbury.-»Light to moderate east to northeast winds; scattered cloud this morning, becoming fine later; rising day temperatures. Outlook: fine. Nelson, Buller and Westland.—Light variable winds; partly cloudy; mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy in Nelson, cloudy in Buller and Westland. Marlborough.—Moderate east to south-east winds, decreasing and tending north-east; overcast, with some scattered drizzle this morning, but becoming partly cloudy later; moderate temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy.
