TENOR BACK IN NEW ZEALAND
Edmund Bohan's Programme Edmund Bohan, a tenor who left Christchurch six months ago to sing in Australia, is back to sing in the Wellington and Dunedin Town Halls. He will sing in Bach’s “St Matthew Passion" with the Wellington Harmonic Society tomorrow and with the Dunedin Choral Society on April 8 Then he will return to Sydney to sing in the “St Matthew Passior ” and the "St John Passion” in the Svrlnev Town Hal> at F.as'er
Mr Bohan has sung the “St Matthew Passion” in Christchurch every Easter for the last five years. He said that he had appeared on television in Sydney—where his wife is a television announcer with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation—and sung on radio. A lot more work was already arranged. A former teacher at the Shirley Boys’ High School, Mr Bohan is well known in Christchurch for his work as a soloist on radio, with choral societies, and at university lunch-hour recitals.
