FINING CAT FOR C.O.R.S.O.

(O Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 29. A pensioner couple contributing to the penny a meal plan to aid the Freedom from Hunger Campaign are fining their cat. Today, when they called at the Wellington office of C.O-RS.O,, their offering of pennies and threepences, collected over several weeks, included a penny tor every meal the cat had eaten. The penny a meal plan, which began here among church groups, is spreading to other centres. A C.0.R.50. spokesman said that if everyone in New Zealand set aside a penny at each meal, in one week more than £200,000 would be raised. In a year, about £11,000,000 would be available to relieve hunger in the world.
