LINCOLN MILE
Outsider Has Easy Win ( .-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, March 28. The eight-year-old Monawin won the rich Lincolnshire Handicap at Lincoln today from a field of 40. Monawin won by two lengths from Kallmnos, with Becket a length and a half away third. Gail Star, the 15-2 favourite, was unplaced. It was raining hard as the starter got the huge field smartly away at the first attempt for the £4OOO first prize. The going was good to firm. Among those badly drawn were the heavily-backed Yorkshire horse Church Stretton, and Remainder. ridden by the Australian jockey A. Breasley. In spite of the good going the top-weights as usual did poorly and the heavily-backed hurdler, Deetease, the second favourite, was never conspicuous. Details:— LINCOLNSHIRE HANDICAP, £4620; Im.
