Golf VETERANS TITLE TO TIMARU
Pitch And Putt Superiority (NZ. Prttt Association) TIMARU, March 28. Mrs I. D. James, of Tlmaru. won the New Zealand women’s veterans' golf title at Tlmaru today when she beat Miss H. R. Buchanan (Little River), 3 up. in the final. Although consistently outdriven by Mias Buchanan, Mrs James’ marked superiority in approaching and putting won her the match. The Curtis Cup for best gross score was won by Mrs G. Palmer (Oamaru). Runner-up was Mrs James. The challenge cup flight was won by Mrs W. Murdoch (Milton), who beat Mrs R. H. Ensor (Cheviot), 6 and 4. in the final.
