Demonstrators Fined
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON,. Mar. 27. Eight of 12 men arrested in yesterday’s mass unemployment demonstration outside Parliament appeared in Bow street Magistrate’s Court today. Five pleaded guilty to charges ranging from insulting behaviour to assault and were fined up to £5 each. Three who pleaded not guilty to similar charges were remanded until next month. It was not known when the other four arrested men would appear. One man was charged with possessing an offensive weapon. A policeman said the man shook his fist and shouted at him, “You would not be big if you took your jacket off.” When the policeman went to arrest him the man produced a milk bottle.
