N.Z. GIN SALES
300,000 Gals. Last Year (NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Mar. 28. Almost 300,000 gallons of New Zealand-distilled gin were sold last year. Figures gazetted tonight show that 360,328.5 imperial gallons of spirits at strength of proof distilled in New Zealand were received into bonded warehouses and 283.905.6 gallons were taken out for home consumption. Another 348.1 gallons were taken out for export. The year ended with 76.074.8 gallons of spirits still in warehouses. Also gazetted is notification of one licence in force to distil spirits. This is held by the New Zealand Distillery Company, Ltd., Auckland. Notification is given, too, of three licences in force to rectify and compound spirits These are held by Gilbeys. Ltd., Auckland, Seagar Evans and Company, Auckland, and the Distillers Company (N.Z.) Ltd, Auckland.
Rover Scout Moot.—More than 100 Rover Scouts from ttaxx<hout New Zealand will attend the 1963 Dominion Rover moot at Waiora between April 12 and 15. (PA.)
