Otago High School Association.—The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Otago High School Ex-Girls’ Association: president, Mrs L. Gainsford;
vice-presidents, Mesdames T. Taylor, Misses C. Johnstone and G. Oslip; secretary, Mrs P. Stanley; assistant secretary, Mrs N. Schofield; treasurer, Mrs M. Stuart; committee, Mesdames S. Brueton, F. Whyte, N. Pairata, G. Aitken, N. Lawn, J. Mcßride, Misses M. Appleby and M. Fordyce. To Represent N.Z. Mrs C. H. Perkins, president of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women, has been appointed to represent the Dominion federation at the council meeting of the International Federation of University Women in London in July. Mrs Perkins will be in London at the time with her husband, the Chancellor of the University of Canterbury, who will attend the ninth quinquennial congress of the Association of Universities of the British Commonwealth.
Sacred Heart College P.P.A. —The following officers were elected at the recent annual meeting of the Sacred Heart College Past Pupils’ Association: president, Mrs A. E. B. Turner; vice-presidents, Mrs M. Carter and Miss C. O’Gorman; treasurer Miss J. Murray; secretary, Miss L. Owens; committee, Mesdames L. Watson, W. F. Brown, I. Henderson, J. G. Mullins, R. Corcoran, B. Simmons, B. Clark, D. McAuley and Miss P. McDonald.
Storry Shield Match.—The annual tennis match for the Starry Shield, played at the United Club’s courts recently, was won by the St. Margaret’s College Old Girls’ Association team with 147 games. Teams representing St Andrew’s College Old Boys’ Association, Christ College Old Boys’ Association, and Rangiruru Old Girls’ Association also took part in the match, and were placed in that order. The shield was presented 33 years ago for annual competition by Miss Janet Storry.
