SERVICE OF ORDERS
Committees Seeking Change In on* case, 73 person* bought a title to one quarteracre property at Rangiora, said Mr C. L. Morris*, chairman of the Rangiora County Council, at the annual meeting of ward II of the Counties’ Association yesterday He was moving the approval of a remit for the amendment of legislation regarding the service of repair orders, closing orders, or demolition order* under the Health Act. In the case of a dwelling owned by Maoris there might be many persons interested in the land who had succeeded to the property and whose addresses were unknown, said Mr Morries. Under present legislation a direction on the manner in which the document should be served had to be sought from the Supreme Court, but the remit wanted the direction to be sought from the Magistrate’s Court, which was easier of access. The remit was approved.
