NEW PILOT TRAINER
£50,000 Unit For Airport A new Redifon pilot trainer valued at £50,000 will be installed at Christchurch Airport later this year. The chief ground training instructor for the operations section of the National Airways Corporation (Mr W. M. McLeod) will leave New Zealand within the next two weeks for Britain to accept delivery of the trainer. While in Britain, Mr McLeod will attend a course on the electronics of the trainer so that he will be able to assist in its installation at Harewood, probably in October. The trainer will be installed in an extension to the present ground training school at the airport. Mr McLeod will also visit other airline companies using the trainer. He will be away about three months.
