Child Drowned In Drain
(NZ. Press Association) HASTINGS. March 27. A child was drowned in a drain at Haumoana, near Hastings, today. He was Lewis Payne Maraenui, aged three, son of Mr and Mrs Peter Maraenui, of Springfield road. Haumoana.
Students’ Association.— Miss E Warren headed the voting w’hen the eight executive members of the CanterburyUniversity Students' Association were elected. Successful candidates were Misses Warren and K. McKerrow, Messrs W. S. Wakelin, Q. T Tapsell. J. P. Blakely. D. Gray, M. Minehan and P. Richardson.
