Slight Rise In Profit (N.Z. Press Aitn.—Comrright) MELBOURNE, March 26. Profit of Victoria Brewery Pty., LUi., a £2 million subsidiary of Melbourne’s Carlton Brewery, Ltd., rose slightly from £111,M5 to £112.162 in the year to De* cember 31. These figures were both after tax. The dividend distribution for the year was steady at £111.912. Of the profit. £2566 was from actual trading and £109.596 came from investments totalling £1.162.061 in Carlton and United Breweries. Ltd. This investment figure was the value in 1953 of the ordinary, preference and “Z” shares held.
