Dodds Consol Shows Loss
(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Mar. 26. Dodds Consolidated Industries. Ltd, pressure vessel engineers, incurred a loss in the six months to December 31 and will not pay an interim dividend. The directors said that group turnover for the period was lower than in the first half of 1961-62. Benefits from the presen I long-term contracts held by Riley Dodds Australia Ply, Ltd, would not accrue until the 1963-64 financial year. This subsidiary traded at a small loss in 1961-62. The profit had fallen from £120.540 to £25.782 and brought the earning rate down from 20.7 to 4.4 per cent. The dividend required £56,321.
