Karinx has done well since Trentham and looks a definite prospect in the Tamatete Handicap Count Lin has drawn wide in the Karere High-weight and is not a certain runner, though rain this week would improve his Chances of starting. He looks to have thrived since Trentham.

Maid of the Oaks (Whiteman) was far too good for Captain Gay (Mrs Christmas) when they ran five furlongs in 1:4 4-5, the last three in 41sec. Maid of the Oaks is well and will be worthy of respect in the Woodbey Hack Handicap. Bagush (Taylor) ran from the five furlongs in IS, the last three in 42 3-3eec. Challen (O'Neill) ran easily over five furtongs in 13 3-5, the last three in 41sec. She seemed to have every chance in the Awapuni Gold Cup. Elrey (McGovern) and Diavolo (Lord) ran solidly over six furlongs in 1:19. the last three tn 40 3-Ssec. It was a good effort Drey’s race on Saturday has improved him. If there is any easing of the ground he might run well in the Kerere High-weight.
