WAITAKERE SEAT
Mr Kirk Denies Rumour
He had not sought selection as a candidate for any other area at the General Election, said the member of Parliament for Lyttelton (Mr N. E. Kirk) last evening. Referring to reports that be may be seeking selection for Waitakere, Mr Kirk said: "I am getting tired of hearing of this rumour, even though It is heartening to know one’s services are at a premium.”
Mr Kirk said he had been selected as candidate for Lyttelton and he knew of no application to the national executive of the party for a dispensation to stand for any other seat
