Schoolboys' Athletics
More than 500 competitors from 18 schools, including combined country high schools and Rangiora High school, will take part in the Christchurch Secondary Schools’ boys’ athletic sports, which begin at Rugby Park on Monday. It is expected to be one of the largest athletics meetings to be held this season in Canterbury. The preliminary events will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons next week, while the finals will be held on Saturday afternoon. There are 35 events on the comprehensive programme and a very high standard of competition is expected.
