Salvation Army Appeal
Sir,—l am informed that the Sialvation Army receives a large number of bequests and that these are accounted for to the Territorial Commander in Wellington. So far as I am aware the Army does not publish financial statements of its activities anywhere. Can you therefore assure your readers, first, that the Salvation Army publishes financial statements, and, second, that the president of each of the sponsoring bodies for the present appeal can give an assurance that the Army has not funds in hand or in contemplation towards the object of the present appeal—Yours, etc., EX-CORPORAL. February 22, 1963.
