FIRE STATION TO BE RENOVATED
£6612 Contract At Sydenham The Christchurch Metro* polltan Fire Board accepted at a special meeting yesterday a tender of £OOl3 for additions and alterations to the Sydenham Fire Station buildings. Quarters for eight single men are to be added, and txiitint Bccmunodstioo is to be renovated. The contracting firm, which is expected to begin work within a fortnight, has undertaken to complete the project in 10 weeks. The tender was to* lowest of those received.
