Exhibition Of Australian Paintings

Loxton Hay’s Roof Hall If you enjoy Art that portrays in Masterly fashion the whole gamut of nature from the cool, rugged grandeur of snow capped Alps to the fiery, searing terrain of Central Australia, this Exhibition is a must. Long recognised as one of Australia’s leading water colourists, particularly for his sensitive interpretation of the outdoors, Mr Loxton has in recent years turned to oils. This Exhibition presents some forty paintings, not previously shown.

Mr Loxton has staged many successful Exhibitions over toe years and in 1948 whilst painting and studying in England and toe Continent, his work was exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Water Colour Society’s Galleries in London. This Exhibition is toe outcome of a meeting with Sir James Hay during the Adelaide Arts Festival last year, and being Mr Loxton’* first New Zeeland showing will give many the opportunity of viewing and purchasing his work.
