ANZAC VISIT
N.Z. Delegation For Australia Mr T. J. Kirk-Buimnand, an executive member of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association, has been appointed leader of the Melbourne section of the Anzac delegation from New Zealand to Australia this year. The New Zealand delegation will be the largest to go to Australia for many years, and will also be away for the longest period for many years.
The delegation will comprise 50 former servicemen and 10 former servicewomen. It is the first time that servicewomen have been included in a delegation.
The Christchurch section will leave for Melbourne by air on April 17 and return on May 7. Members will be given a reception by • the Lord Mayor and the State Government. Visits to homes of members of the Returned Services’ League have been arranged, and the R.S.L. club in Melbourne will be the centre for many functions.
