MINOR FIRES
Slight damage was done to a taxi owned by Eric Davis, of 9 Walnut avenue, when it caught fire after a short circuit in the wiring on Saturday. "One unit from the St. Albans station attended. An oven fire at the home of Thomas Armstrong, 112 Conway street, was attended by one unit from the Sydenham station at 7.10 p.m. Units from the Central and Woolston stations attended a fire in a radio at the home of Hector John Perry, 53 Alexandra street, at 5.45 pm.
A grass, fire on a property at 57 Benitley street, Yaldhurst, was extinguished by one unit from the Sockiburn station at 3.20 p.m. yesterday.
