59 STARTERS IN BUXTON CUP
A 14ft Javelin' class yacht won the annual race for the Buxton Cup on the Estuary in a fresh north-east wind on Saturday afternoon. Its skipper was H. L. England, of the Christchurch Yacht Club, and the for-ard hand was L. Wales. The trophy attracted an open fleet of 59 boats. Limit Frostbites, with a start of half an hour, led for the first two of three laps, but were overhauled by the faster boats. Results, showing corrected handicaps and finishing times, were as follows:
