U.N. African Body Votes To Expel S.A., Portugal

LEOPOLDVILLE, Feb. 23. The United Nations Economic CoronJitton f•f Africa today voted to exclade South Africa and Portugal from membership and to reduce Britain, France and Spain tn associate members. The vote, taken at the annual conference in Leopoldville, reaffirmed resolutions passed at the last annual conference for consideration of the Economic and Social

Council in Now York. The council had already rejected the recommendations on Portugal and South Africa and had sent those of the other three countries back for reconsideration. sideration received 30 affirmative votes. Britain. France and Spain voted against foe resolution.
