Nice-Regal The Governor-General (Sir Bernard Fergusson) has notified the Canterbury Society of Arts that he will consent to be patron of the society. The president (Mr Paul Pascoe) said the society welcomed this news, as it had enjoyed vice-regal patronage for many years.

Woolerton has been appointed a director of the State Advances Corporation. Mr J. D.
