American Motors have opened a subsidiary in Canada to begin the manufacture of built-up right-hand-drive vehicles tar export to Commonwealth countries. Until now these vehicles have been produced at a plant in Wisconsin. This plant will continue to turn out knocked-down vehicles for export to Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. ¥ ¥ « Standard Triumph recently flew 60 German Standard Triumph dealers to Britain to inspect the company’s five factories in Coventry. The dealers also visited the Motor Industry Research Association’s secret proving ground where prototypes of future cars are tested. ¥ ¥ ¥ Rambler export sales for the fourth quarter of 1962 were double those of the previous year and set a new record. The cars sold numbered 13,480. In 1963 American Motors hopes to export between 60,000 and 70,000 cars.
