Further Good Gains By N.Z. Shares
In first business this year H. J. Kearns and MorrisonP.I.M. rose sharply in New Zealand trading yesterday. National Insurance and Pye Electronics also made good gains. New Zealand shares were buoyant but Australian shares eased further. Ampol sold down to 8s compared with 9s 4d last week before the announcement of the £2 Im. refinery plan.
For the first time this year more than 100 issues were traded in the day, a total of 105 against 86 last Thursday.
