PRESIDENT DE GAULLE with an African guest, the President of Senegal (Mr Leopold Senghor) at the Elysee Palace, Paris, last Friday. A few hours before this photograph was taken, four French Army officers and a woman were arrested for plotting to assassinate General de Gaulle during his inspection of a military college. General de Gaulle carried out his inspection, as planned, and then received the Senegal President.
