Fewer Midges At Bromley
An invitataion to members of the Christchurch Drainage Board to be present at a meeting of Bromley householders to discuss the midge problem in that district was withdrawn at a meeting of the board.
The letter withdrawing the invitation said that the midge problem had now been greatly diminished, and that the spraying carried out by the board's staff had probably caused this. It was reported at the board meeting that two students who had been working on midge control would soon return to their university work. A report on their work at Bromley would he prepared.
