CLAIM FOR £34,000
Notice Given To Board
Notice that Canterbury Pipe Lines, Ltd., intended to claim from the Christchurch Drainage Board £34,017 for work done by the company on contracts but not paid for by the board was received ait the board meeting on Tuesday evening.
The chairman (Mir F. R Price) said that it was not a formal claim.
Mr R C. Neville: Just a reminder that' we put it on next year’s estimates! On the motion of Mr Neville, the matter was referred to the board’s solicitors.
The company claims £9343 15s for Mahars road sewer work; Sparks road, £10,264; Fairview street, £9106; Peerswick reticulation, £4830, and St. Martins Valley £926.
The firm reduced the claim by £340, which was overpayment by the board on another contract.
