NX RACING CONFERENCE ASSISTANT STIPBOARY SHEW ARD AppliMfiMs closing Sth March, 1963, will ba recarved by the undersigned for the position of Assistant Stipendiary Steward in the Canterbury Metropolitan Racing District. The vacancy has been created through the promotion of an Assistant to the permanent panel of stipendiary stewards. Applicants will be persons in other full-time employment, as this position calls for their services on race days only. A basic requirement is some knowledge of racing. The. successful applicant will serve a probationary period of 6 months during which time he will receive £5 for each day’s racing attended. If at the end of the period his appointment is confirmed, the remuneration will increase to £lO per day s racing, plus travelling expenses.
