ELECTION IN ITALY
Dissolution Expected
(NX Pres. Amr.—CopvrigM? ROME, F«U 13. IVraident Seeoi probably will dissolve the Balitan Parliament this week and call a general election lor April 21 or 28, political observer* in Home said last night. He conferred yesterday with the Presidenit of the Senate, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies—a formality required under Italian law prior to the disaodution of Parliament. The present Centre-Deft Government is kept in power by an alliance of the Christian Democratic Party, led by the Prime Minister (Professor Fanfani) and the Socialists, who support the Government but are not in it. Bickering between the two parties in recent months has virtually brought Parliament to a standstill. It is believed Professor Fanfani has decided to end this deadlock by holding an election soon. Observers believe the voters will be asked, in effect, tn say whether the Socialists should have more or less say in the Government—in other words whether the Government will move to the Left or the Right.
