Programme For Today
A 15-minute display of aerial topdressing and spraying is a feature of today's programme in Dunedin for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The display will take place at Invermay agricultural research station. North Taieri. The Duke will be lent a s'op watch in case he wishes to time the loading of the aircraft and the spreading of the loads. The Queen and the Duke will spend an hour and a half on the station. At 3.30 pm. they will leave their hotel for a two-mile drive to a garden party in the botanical gardens. In the evening they will spend from " t p.m. to 8.30 at an athletic meeting at the Caledonian ground.
The Queen and the Duke will fly from Dunedin to Christchurch on Saturday morning. The Queen wore a shimmering evening dress in shell-pink chiffon. The highnecked bodice was embroidered in pink pearls trailing on to a softly-gathered skirt. She wore a pearl and diamond necklace, and large pearl and diamond drop ear-rings.
