Draught Lager
The first draught lager to be pulled in the South Island will be on sale in a Christchurch hotel tomorrow. The lager, from a Hastings brewery, will cost 9d for a 7oz glass, compared with 8d for a 7oz glass of draught beer, arid will be on sale at Tattersail’s Hotel.
. The draught lager has been shipped to Kaiapoi in 36-gal-lon kegs from Leopard Breweries. Ltd., and has been brought to Christchurch in trucks. The lager was then blown into stainless steel tanks, where it is being chilled ready for serving through plastic hoses in the bars.
